Q: How long will it take to rent my property?
A: There is no guaranteed time frame to rent a property, however we make every effort for the quickest turnaround possible. We do marketing and advertising on all of our properties on the internet through websites like Jiji and utilize social media to get the word out. Proper pricing and condition of the property are also important in securing a tenant in a timely manner.
Q: What if my tenant doesn't pay their rent?
A: Rent is due on the 5th day of the month with a 5 day grace period. Though most of our tenants pay on time, there is occasionally a late payment. Late fees are charged on the 10th day, and if necessary we can start an eviction proceeding. Evictions are rare and can usually be avoided by keeping in good communication with the tenant.
Q: Have you ever had to evict a tenant?
A: Unfortunately, yes. Over the past years, we have only had to evict 2 tenants. (This speaks well of our selection process!) We went to court both times and won.
